Valero Gas Station
Windsor, CA

We saved and earthquake retrofitted this 1958 gas station. We drilled 24’ x 8’ holes to install rebar cages without removing the roof. In 4 of the 6 holes we ran into existing concrete piers that had to be removed. We replaced the old aluminum roof with a raised seam blue metal roof to match the Valero color scheme. The original design called for concrete around the pumps and asphalt everywhere else. Given the grade of the property, we recommended and laid concrete throughout the project with no puddles anywhere when it rains! Our electrical contractor for the project was L.K. Bazzani Electric.

The station has all high efficiency LED lighting and an emergency backup generator that runs the entire station during a power outage. Fuel is then available to people in need. This was a very profitable investment for the owners who had faith in our judgment and expertise. They have a busy business today.
